Tom McManus bio

Tom McManus serves as President and CEO of Lily Funds; a Fort Lauderdale based Private Investment Company that mainly focuses on real estate investment and development opportunities in the US and Caribbean. Mr. McManus presently manages a significant real estate portfolio. He is also the sole principle owner of VCP5 Corp an income producing real estate Investment Company which owns numerous properties with a focus on residential and commercial opportunities in the Southeastern United States.

Prior to his current role, Mr. McManus was the Managing Director of a billion-dollar Family Office that invested in numerous business sectors such as; aviation (FBO), residential and commercial real estate, marinas, yacht building and brokerage, restaurants and entertainment. Before that, he worked for Bank of Florida Trust Company and in New York/Connecticut for PIMCO/Allianz Global Investors, one of the largest fixed income managers in the world.

After managing the family office for more than 7 years, Tom structured an asset purchase buyout of a portion of the family offices assets. There his partnership began with close friend and mentor Mr. Par Sanda, founder of NBV (North Beach Village Resorts) and Pan Capital, some of those assets include nearly 30 acres on Las Vegas Boulevard. Most recently he sold the Pier Sixty Six South Marina (formerly known as The Sails Marina) on 17th Street.

Throughout his career Tom has received several awards and accolades both in business and his charitable work. One of his proudest achievements was the award he received for building and completion of 550 acres master plan community in Henderson, Nevada, called “Tuscany”. Tuscany Residential Village encompasses over 3000 homes, world class Ted Robinson designed 18 hole golf course and many other amenities.

Tom plays an active role in the South Florida Community, through his involvement with numerous charities and business organizations, currently serving on the BRB (Beach Redevelopment Advisory) for the last 3 year of the chairman. Tom also sits on the BID (Beach Business Improvement District) and as well as founding FNBV (Friends of the North Beach Village) a recognized civic association of the City of Fort Lauderdale. He is also presently serving on the board of Jack and Jill Children Center and co-chairing an 11 million dollar capital campaign to build the new elementary school.

Born and raised in New York where he went on to study at St John’s University graduating with a BA in economics. Tom resides in Fort Lauderdale and has 3 children; twin boys and a daughter in which the company’s namesake is from.
