Tammy Tucker, Psy.D.
Dr. Tucker is an Associate Administrator at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. In 1997, she started at Memorial as the Director of the chemical dependency programs and was promoted to oversee the Behavioral Health Services. Her role evolved as an Associate Administrator and expanded to oversee other operational areas including Imaging, Laboratory, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Spiritual Care. Most recently, Dr. Tucker oversees the Mothers In Recovery program which assists opiate addicted women to safely detoxify so their infants are born drug free and has also successfully started the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for adults addicted to opiates.
Dr. Tucker started her professional career at The Starting Place while earning her Doctoral degree. The Starting Place treated children, adolescents, and families with substance abuse issues. She also further developed her expertise in Post Traumatic Stress Disorders and Mental Illness while training at the Miami Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Tucker also worked in the Nova Southeastern University Family Violence program adding another aspect in understanding the effects of psychological and physical violence by treating both victims and perpetrators. Tammy Tucker received her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and is a Florida Licensed Psychologist.
Tammy has been involved in numerous committees and boards over the years. Her current board memberships include The United Way of Broward Commission on Substance Abuse, the Governing Board of Correct Care/South Florida State Hospital and The Broward Behavioral Health Coalition as well the Governor’s Task Force on Involuntary Commitment for Minors. She and her husband write the Murder Mystery each year for the past six years for the Broward County Partner’s In Education Clueless on Las Olas event.
