Steven Wasserman

Steve Wasserman is chair of The Council for Educational Change. Wasserman, formerly a senior vice president for Jones Lang LaSalle in South Florida, now an Executive Vice President of Colliers International of South Florida, LLC, leads a 32-member board of directors in promoting the council’s statewide mission. The Weston-based council develops and implements mentorship programs that strengthen the leadership of K-12 public schools in Florida. The programs are designed to help school principals narrow the achievement gap and to address critical education issues that may hinder the preparation and nurturing of our future workforce.

Steven Wasserman is one of the team leaders in the South Florida Industrial group.  Mr. Wasserman has a diversified industrial practice where he represents institutional property owners in leasing and strategic advice.  He also represents local and national tenants looking to buy or lease space.  Finally, he represents owner users in the disposition of their industrial buildings and land. 

Mr. Wasserman has 32 years of experience in the South Florida market.  He has dealt with a broad number of complex issues from build to suit, land development, environmental, acquisition and disposition of specialized properties.  In addition, he has marketed a 200 acre business park, +2 Million square feet of institutional leasing and sold hundreds of thousands of square feet of owner/user properties. 

Mr. Wasserman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami.  Mr. Wasserman is also an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).
