Cybersecurity! Modern Invasions of Privacy

Referred to by some as the most pressing concern today, cyber security and privacy in the Digital Age impacts every corner of our lives. From business to politics to warfare to daily living, none of us can afford to ignore its reach. Tower Forum has assembled an across-the-board panel to address the topic. Hear how it plays out globally, locally, nationally, and for us as individuals, and how we can protect ourselves against cyber attacks.

Chris Burgio. Vice President, Marsh & McLennan. As a pioneer in bringing cyber and privacy coverage to the property and casualty market, Burgio is a manager of P&C programs for a number of his company’s largest public and privately held clients.He speaks extensively on the cyber and privacy exposures they face. 

Vice Admiral Jan Tighe, USN. Raised in Plantation, Florida, and graduated in 1984 from the U.S. Naval Academy, rising swiftly through the ranks. In 2016, she assumed duties as the deputy chief of naval operations for Information Warfare and the 66th director of Naval Intelligence.As a flag officer, Tighe served as commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/commander, U.S. 10th Fleet; U.S. Cyber Command deputy J3; director, Decision Superiority in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare (OPNAV N2N6); interim president of the Naval Postgraduate School; and deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet.

Mike Orosz. Director, Operational Safety & Security, Citrix. For over 18 years, served as an intelligence officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Army. He has routinely participated in the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff daily briefings and regularly contributed to the U.S. Presidential Daily Intelligence Brief (PDB).

MODERATOR

James Parrish, Ph.D.  Chair, Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity, Nova Southeastern University College of Engineering & Computing. Part of the faculty for the Executive MBA (EMBA) program in the College of Business and for the Technology Innnkaovation program in the College of Engineering and InformationTechnology. He is an active researcher whose academic interests include knowledge management systems, social engineering, decision support systems, and IT strategy.
