The November 2 elections are the culmination of what has been an extraordinary dynamic in the body politic this year. Rarely do so many political battles on so many levels produce the bewilderment of so many. Locally, from major upheavals on School Board and County Commission will emerge important and possibly dramatic directions. State and Federal offices, too, are facing extreme challenges. The impact of a stressed economy is keenly felt by the electorate as well as candidates. Immigration issues are down-played but critical. Our program anchor is Michael Putney, the senior political and governmental reporter for Miami’s ABC affiliate, WPLG-Channel 10, where he also hosts This Week in South Florida with Michael Putney. He offers an in-depth analysis and prognosis of the results with pointed commentary from lobbyist and Republican political guru, Justin Sayfie, and Broward Democratic Party Chair, Mitch Ceasar.
