Maureen Dinnen bio


Maureen Dinnen, a lifelong Broward resident, was educated at St. Anthony’s Catholic School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She earned a BA in History from Barry University and an MS in Social Science from Florida State University.

Maureen taught for 35 years in the Broward public schools and at Broward College. She also served as President of the Florida Education Association and was an elected member of the Broward School Board for 8 years.

She was honored by the Cities of Ft. Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Orlando, Plantation and Wilton Manors and by Broward County for her Broward and State contributions to education.
A veteran advocate for education, Maureen currently serves on the Ft. Lauderdale Educational Advisory Board and as the Scholarship Chair for the Broward Woman’s Alliance.
