Dr. Gennaro Selvaggi specializes in Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Broward Health Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Selvaggi received his degree in Medicine Doctor at the University of Bari, Italy. He then trained at the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute in the field of islet cell and bone marrow transplantation. Subsequently, he completed residency in General Surgery at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by two years of fellowship in abdominal organ transplantation. He has been on staff as Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery in the Division of Liver and GI Transplantation since July 2003.
Dr. Selvaggi is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles in the field of transplantation.
Dr. Selvaggi is married. He speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish.
