Ahmed F. Osman, MD, FACC, FESC, FHRS, FASE

Dr. Ahmed F. Osman is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist in practice in Broward County since December 2004. He is a founding member of the Florida Heart Rhythm Specialists, PLLC.

Dr. Osman graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Cairo University, Kasr El Eini Hospital, Cairo, Egypt, with honors. He then completed his internal medicine training at the Norwalk Hospital/ Yale University program in Connecticut. He received extensive training in Cardiovascular medicine program at The Ochsner Medical Foundation, in New Orleans, Louisiana. His Electrophysiology fellowship was completed at the University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore, Maryland, where he also served as assistant lecturer at the Department of Medicine.

Dr Osman is board certified in Internal medicine, Cardiovascular medicine, Clinical cardiac electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He is an active member and fellow at many professional societies including the American College of  Cardiology (ACC) and Society of echocardiography (ASE), heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and European Society of Cardiology (ESC). He is the medical director of the cardiac electrophysiology Laboratory at the Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and serves as clinical assistant professor at the NOVA southeastern University school of Medicine.

He has multiple peer reviewed publications in the fields of heart failure and noninvasive risk assessment for sudden death. He is an active clinical investigator in several multicenter studies assessing optimization of pacemaker and defibrillator therapy in patients with heart failure and at risk for sudden death as well as new atrial fibrillation ablation technologies.

Dr Osman specializes in cardiac ablation for all arrhythmias with special interest in  atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias, using advanced 3 dimensional mapping and use of novel technologies such as cryoablation . He also offers all aspects of Cardiac device therapies, from implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, including “biventricular” therapies, to post implant follow up and optimization of programming as well as extraction.

He has practicing privileges at most North Broward county hospitals. He was voted as a top doctor in south Florida in 2011, 12′ and 13′.
