Carol A. Field primarily practices labor and employment litigation in administrative and court proceedings at trial and on appeal. She represents employers in the full spectrum of discrimination claims and counsels in whistleblower lawsuits, class actions, wage and hour collective actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and wage-disparity claims brought under the Equal Pay Act. Carol trains management and other employees on how to address workplace diversity, sexual harassment, discrimination, disability accommodations, and workplace violence.

Carol successfully defended employers in high-profile US federal and state court lawsuits and administrative agency proceedings. One of her clients commented: “It is difficult to put into words how encouraging it was to be represented by someone with her skills and dedication.” The client’s in-house counsel echoed this sentiment, stating: “Her legal analysis of the issues in this suit and the law applicable to this case was impeccable. . . . Her evaluation and analysis was dead on.”

Carol also provided consultation to the Florida governor’s office concerning proposed legislative changes to the state’s whistleblower’s act.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Carol served as a senior assistant attorney general for the State of Florida and was an associate with two Miami law firms, representing companies in general civil litigation matters.
