Al Lewis Bio
Al Lewis is now the Editor-In-Chief of the South Florida Business Journal.
He has been a columnist for The Wall Street Journal Sunday, MarketWatch, Dow Jones Newswires and the Denver Post. He also formerly served as business editor of The Denver Post.
He is a longtime blogger at tellittoal.com and has made frequent media appearances, discussing business trends and developments. He has often appeared on Fox Business and Denver’s 9News, KUSA-TV.
Throughout his career, he has frequently detailed the follies of big business and conventional thought regarding the market and the economy. He usually presented a humorous or counter-intuitive point-of-view and strove to capture human drama in the business arena.
Lewis has worked as either a financial writer or editor since 1985. Over the years, he has won numerous awards, including honors from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Colorado Press Association and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.

Lewis, who grew up in Northbrook, Ill., earned a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill.
